6th International Conference on
Marine Waste Water Discharges and Coastal Environment
Langkawi, Malaysia. October 25-29, 2010.
After 10 years along the coasts of the Mediterranean Sea, it has been decided to move towards the South Eastern Countries, with the aim of enhancing the cooperation and the participation of our Asian colleagues.
Malaysia has been the Country chosen for the 2010 event; the conference will be held in Langkawi, the major of the 99 islands in the homonymous archipelago on the northern tip of continental Malaysia.
The island is since 2007 an UNESCO Geopark and is well known for its well preserved natural environment.
MWWD Organization is continuing to be the organizer and will be assisted and supported, in the preparation of the event, by Public Authorities, Universities and Environmental Organizations of Malaysia and other International Associations and Organizations, Universities and Companies.
IWA – International Water Association and IAHR - International Association of Hydraulic Engineering and Research will continue their co-sponsorship.
The MERITUS Hotel Chain will assure a top quality venue in their Langkawi Pelangi Beach Resort, while Tourism Malaysia and Malaysia Airlines have anticipated their support for the travel and touristic aspects.
